Research Interests:

  • Computational Aided Drug Design
  • Computational Structural Biology
  • Small Molecule and Peptide Design modelling
  • Cheminformatics

My research focuses on computational aided drug discovery (CADD). I am working on developing various machine-learning based cheminformatics applications for the Biology and Chemistry Library (BCL). Furthermore, I study the mechanism of actions of peptide-activated G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). In a collaboration with experimental groups from all over the world, I design and model novel therapeutic small molecules and peptides for various GPCR targets. Last but not least, I apply CADD methods to develop new therapies against kidney diseases in a partnership project between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Bayer.
